You are invited to a plant tour on Friday, 7 February 2020 with Exporters Eastern Cape and Ford Motor Company of Southern Africa, the 2019 category winner of the SJM Flex Environmental Award, IDC Job Creation Award and the Merit Award Winner of the Best Exporter – OEM.

REQUIREMENTS: Closed shoes only – no takkies/sneakers/sandals/open shoes or heels allowed; Long pants only – no shorts or skirts allowed; kindly note that no photography or video is allowed within the plant.

Two tours will take place, only 24 spots available per tour!

The Department of Trade and Industry (the dti) invites South African exporters in the Automotive Industry to showcase their automotive equipment and products at Automechanika Middle East, from 7 – 9 June 2020, in Dubai, UAE.

Automechanika Middle East 2020 will showcase a full range of products for the automotive sector, including parts & components for automobile production and spare parts for the aftermarket; Systems and modules for automobile production; Automobile accessories and tuning for the aftermarket; Workshop and petrol station equipment as well as aftermarket services.

The Middle East Region is a new high growth market for the automotive industry. South Africa has been participating at this event in a form of National Pavilion for several years and as a result, exports of automotive products to the region increased to over R1,2 billion.

If your company is competitive in the South African market, has been in business for at least two years and is export ready, it stands to benefit from the dti’s Export Marketing and Investment Assistance scheme.

the dti will offer the following financial support to qualifying firms:

  • Exhibition space and booth rental costs;
  • Freight-forwarding of display materials;
  • Air travel assistance up to R17,000.00(SMME’s & BOE’s only);
  • Daily subsistence allowance of R3,000.00 per day (SMME’s & BOE’s only);
