Coega Development Corporation (CDC) would like to invite member companies on each of the sectors highlighted in the Company Introduction (download below) to a Business to Business (B2B) networking session with investors from the Peoples Republic of China, Zhejiang Province on 10 September 2019, 8:30am for 9am. The B2B interaction will take place at the Coega Business Centre, corner Alcyone and Zibuko street, Coega SEZ, Zone 1 in Port Elizabeth.
The purpose of the interaction will serve as a platform for emerging & medium industry companies from South Africa and the Peoples Republic of China to network on areas of mutual interest. The delegation from Zhejiang Province have shown interest in various sectors, download document below.

Congratulations to Volkswagen Group South Africa (VWSA) as the Overall Winner of the 24th annual Exporter of the Year Awards as well as all the merit award and category winners.
Exporters Eastern Cape Chairman Quintin Levey said that all the winners and merit award winners richly deserved their awards and congratulated all the participants for their outstanding achievements over the past year.
As a major exporter at the Port Elizabeth harbour, VWSA this year exported over 75 000 cars (valued at about R15,6-billion) to countries such a Britain, Ireland, Australia and Japan, increasing the company’s exports by 37%. The company also exported over 65 000 engines to India and Malaysia.
VWSA Chairman and Managing Director Thomas Schaefer said he was proud and humbled to receive the awards, especially the accolade of the Overall Winner of Exporter of the Year 2019.
“Exporting is an important part of our business as the majority of our vehicle and component production is exported to international markets. Over the years our export volumes have increased, which has been good for the sustainability of our business, as well as our suppliers,” said Schaefer.
