Compliance Risks of Digital Transformation – Networking Session – 22 October 2026

You are invited to a morning networking session with Exporters Eastern Cape and Kemp Lizamore Attorneys.

TOPIC: Modernising with Confidence – Managing the Legal Compliance Risks of Digital Transformation

DISCUSSION POINTS:

  • The main legal risks that come with adopting new technology and systems (contracts, including with software/tech vendors, data protection and POPIA, cybersecurity and data breach liability)
  • Practical compliance steps to take before and during a modernisation project, so growth doesn’t outpace legal protection
  • Employment law considerations when new technology changes roles, processes or the way staff are managed
  • Record-keeping, due diligence and risk mitigation strategies drawn from real commercial matters
  • An open discussion for members to raise their own compliance concerns

EVENT DETAILS:
Date:   Thursday, 22 October 2026
Time:   08:00 for 08:30 – 10:30
Venue: Wirk, Circular Drive, Fairview

You will leave with a clear, practical understanding of the legal risks that come with modernising a business, and concrete steps to manage those risks from a legal perspective before they become costly problems.

It is an opportunity to receive guidance directly from a practising attorney with real experience advising companies and litigating through this exact process.
